The Development

Lowfield Green is part of a larger expansion site in the city of York which will also include; a health centre, police station, care home, and recreational green space, as well as an array of attractive, speculatively built new homes and a modern co-housing scheme brought together by design focused housing specialists Yorspace.

The six serviced plots are large enough to accommodate a spacious 3 to 5 bedroom home, designed and built to the buyers specifications. All plots are available  fully serviced with a large garden.

Services provided include mains, water, electricity, sewage, and high-speed broadband. Unfortunately, mains gas is not provided but buyers can benefit from more sustainable and cost-effective ways to heat their homes using underfloor heating or an air source heat pump.

Outline Planning Permission has been approved for the development, which enables purchasers to create the home they desire. A Design Code and individual Plot Passports will be provided to give buyers, who will be supported by Custom Build Homes experts to source and instruct their preferred professional team.

Buying Process

Bidding has now CLOSED. All bids will now be considered by City of York Council. If you have submitted a bid we will be in touch shortly to confirm the council’s decision.

By submitting a bid to purchase a serviced plot at Lowfield Green, you agree to the Terms & Conditions for Bidders.

  • Interested parties may bid on one or multiple plots.
  • Successful bidders will be informed that their bid has been accepted by City of York Council no later than 6th December 2019. Each successful bid will be subject to the prospective purchaser successfully passing Financial Qualification. If approved, a £2,000 reservation fee is payable within 5 working days.
  • The successful bidders will be required to provide details of their chosen solicitor as well as certified copies of Photographic ID and proof of address upon reservation. Each are then expected to Exchange Contracts within 6 weeks of their respected solicitor receiving the Legal Pack, where a 5% deposit is required, less the reservation fee.
  • Successful Bidders are required to submit their planning application to City of York Council within 16 weeks of the Reservation Date. Each should expect to receive a planning decision within 12 weeks of submitting their planning application.
  • Upon achieving planning permission, bidders are required to complete the plot purchase within 10 working days. Construction of the home can then commence with expected completion within 18 months.
  • Custom Build Homes & The City of York Council look forward to supporting each successful bidder through the design and legal process as each embark on a journey to design and create their own bespoke home.
